Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop started with one man, one oven, and a love for baking that couldn’t be contained. Derek Kaplan- a Miami firefighter with a serious sweet tooth-began sharing his homemade pies and desserts with friends and fellow first responders. Word spread fast, and what started as a passion turned into a local sensation.

From those early days baking in a firehouse kitchen to opening our first brick-and-mortar in Miami, Fireman Derek’s has stayed true to its roots: big flavor, made from scratch, and a whole lot of love. Our menu is packed with indulgent classics — like our iconic Key Lime Pie — alongside creative treats inspired by Miami’s vibrant flavors and culture.
